dang argyle is two dangsters from michigan who like to sew it up! coco currently lives in wisconsin, manz in michigan, and we're making it work! we've been friends since elementary school, both love the color green, and our engines run on coffee.

the dang argyle seed was planted in august 2005. the following june we had a shop on etsy, a few weeks later we were working on our first wholesale order, and in august 2006 we did our first show, which was the first detroit urban craft fair. we love finding adorable vintage tea towels to cut up and use in our handmade items. all our bags, wallets and pouches are one of a kind and made from vintage fabrics. we dig simplicity, piping, interfacing, green, red, brown, and aqua.

why dang argyle?

we like to bowl. we decided it would be fun if people wore argyle socks while they bowled to go with the ever-so-stylish bowling shoes. so our fake bowling team name became the argyles. also, when we bowl we like to be pirates. (and if pirates wore argyle socks they would be called arrrrrrgyle socks!) one day we argyles were bowling and saying dang like it was going out of style, so we said "we're not the argyles, we're the dang argyles!" so here we are, a couple of bowling, argyle sock wearing pirates, who just happen to also sew, paint, stitch, and cut.
